Chairman swaps boat for Indigo Digital Press

Here at Purely Digital we have a somewhat spurious link with the Ipex 2010 “Champion of Print” Benny Landa (founder of Indigo).
Besides having installed the H.P. Indigo 5500 press, our director Bill Gillott is a sailor - like Benny. Secret talks between Israel and Jordan took place aboard Benny’s yacht “The Eclipse” prior to the signing of the October 1994 peace treaty. Bill on the other hand sold his yacht “Easyeasy” to contribute towards the purchase of our Indigo press and, as she was lying off St. Maarten at the time, the secret negotiations prior to the formation of the company, took place in our kitchen.
It was in 1993 that Benny launched Indigo’s first digital press at Ipex and sixteen years later the future of digital printing is positive despite the credit crunch.
